"I remember being told in assembly." Way back when, he had very vague memories of being told to not tease or steal the sunglasses. He didn't quite know what was wrong, he didn't understand then and now he was older, he wasn't brave enough to ask but he assumed something to do with sunlight intolerance. Perhaps lupus?
